Easterseals Bay Area Set to Recognize Easterseals National Organization’s 100th Anniversary

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.—Apr 22, 2019–Easterseals Bay Area (ESNorCal) today announced it will celebrate Easterseals National’s 100th Anniversary at the top of the Salesforce Tower in San Francisco on April 22. The celebration honors 100 years of service for the leading nonprofit organization serving one-in-four Americans living with disabilities.

The CEO of Easterseals National, Angela Williams, will be among the special guests at the celebration. ESNorCal leadership will also recognize Kaiser Permanente with the Care Forward award. The award recognizes Kaiser Permanente for its tireless commitment to ensuring that thousands of individuals and families in Northern California have access to exceptional care, helping them live their best lives.

“We are honored to celebrate Easterseals century of service, creating a future where every one of us – regardless of age or ability – is 100% included and 100% empowered,” said Susan Armiger, President and CEO of ESNorCal. “It is the perfect opportunity to thank Kaiser Permanente for its leadership, as well as recognize Angela for her vision to ensure the next 100 years of limitless possibilities for all people of all abilities.”

Armiger, a 20-year Easterseals veteran, who has held several top roles across multiple states and service lines joined ESNorCal in 2011. During her tenure, she has grown the organization from a small nonprofit to a thriving healthcare company delivering more than a million hours of service in Northern California each year.

ESNorCal’s Chairman of the Board, Marty Hodgett will also attend the anniversary celebration recognizing Easterseals for its many contributions during the past 100 years.

“Marking major achievements like this is always exciting and emotional, because we all come together and recognize the profound impact Easterseals and ESNorCal has on those we serve,” said Hodgett. “Throughout my professional life, I’ve tried to support organizations that help children and families.
